Effective program evaluation is a systematic way to improve and account for public health actions by involving procedures that are useful, feasible, ethical, and accurate. The Framework for Evaluation in Public Health  guides public health professionals in their use of program evaluation.
It is a practical, nonprescriptive tool, designed to. Program evaluation is essential to public health. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sets standards for evaluation, develops evaluation tools and resources, and provides support for evaluation capacity-building.
The community mental health centers (CMHC) evaluation system consists of two mechanisms. The first is the congressional requirement that at least 2% of the total annual budget of each center be spent for evaluation, the content of which is largely determined by local centers themselves.
Definition of Community Health Nursing or Public Health Nursing: Community health nursing involves several basic concepts, including the promotion of healthy living, prevention of disease and health problems, medical treatment, rehabilitation, evaluation of community health nursing care delivery and prevention systems, and research to further community health nursing and wellness.
